Well respected and well liked
After 15 years Mick Arthur the business park manager is leaving Park West to enjoy his retirement.
Over the years, Mick successfully managed the park’s infrastructure and services and championed many local employment and charity initiatives.
Well respected and well liked, Mick started the Academic Achievement Awards to promote excellence in local schools by awarding a laptop to top students each year.
In 2002, he established the Park West Charity Committee which has since raised over €170,000 for various local charities.
In 2004, he established a work experience and student placement programme with St. Dominic’s at both Transition and Leaving Cert years. This worthwhile initiative now sees 30 students per year finding places with companies in Park West.
