Farewell Mick Arthur – Business Park Manager

Well respected and well liked

After 15 years Mick Arthur the business park manager is leaving Park West to enjoy his retirement.

Over the years, Mick successfully managed the park’s infrastructure and services and championed many local employment and charity initiatives.

Well respected and well liked, Mick started the Academic Achievement Awards to promote excellence in local schools by awarding a laptop to top students each year.

In 2002, he established the Park West Charity Committee which has since raised over €170,000 for various local charities.

In 2004, he established a work experience and student placement programme with St. Dominic’s at both Transition and Leaving Cert years. This worthwhile initiative now sees 30 students per year finding places with companies in Park West.

Mick also served as President of the West Dublin Chamber of Commerce and is on the Care Board of St Ultan’s School in Cherry Orchard, providing educational and mentoring support to the after-school care facility.

Mick’s involvement and commitment to the local community will leave a lasting positive impression for years to come and we thank him and wish him all the best for the future.
