2009

New 151 route & timetable
Route 151 extended to serve Griffeen Avenue (Lucan) and East Road (Docklands) and revised timetable (maintaining current frequency).

Cycle to Work Scheme
The 2009 Budget introduces a cycle to work scheme - the first €1,000 spent on bicycle and safety equipment for an employee who agrees to use the bicycle to cycle to work, will be treated as a tax-exempt benefit-in-kind.

Workplace Parking Levy
As announced by the Minister for Finance in Budget 2009, the workplace parking levy is introduced from January 2009, charging employees for the use of car parking facilities provided by the employer in designated urban areas. A flat rate of €200 will apply per annum.
